New snow forecasting site launches

The website, PistePro, carries 15-day resort-specific snow forecasts for skiers (above: Engelberg)
A new snow forecasting website has launched for skiers, providing free access to 15-day ski resort snow forecasts, snow alerts and local maps of resorts.
PistePro has been built over the past two years, with the aim of providing the snow forecasts for ski resorts across Europe, North America and Australasia. The forecasts provide information for the next 15 days, with an hourly breakdown for the first day, along with sunrise and sunset times, freezing levels on the mountain and altitude-specific snowfall and temperatures.
The website allows users to set up email alerts (free of charge) for their favourite resorts — and can be used on desktops, tablets and mobile phones.
There’s also a link to the resort in Google Maps, along with downloadable piste maps, plus details on the closest airports and transfer times from them, season dates and details of lifts and altitude details.
For more information and to set up an alert, visit pistepro.com
