The iconic ski resort of Jackson Hole in Wyoming is becoming even easier for UK skiers to visit this winter, with the addition of four new flights from London Heathrow each week.

The new route, which connects in Salt Lake City with Jackson Hole will be operated four times a week by Delta Airlines. The service is in addition to the existing one-stop flight with United that connects through Chicago and the one-stop flights with British Airways and its partner airline American Airlines that runs from Heathrow to Jackson Hole via Dallas.

Jackson Hole airport is a 30-minute drive from the mountain resort, and recently underwent a $30million renovation and expansion in time for Jackson’s 50th anniversary celebrations last season.

Other good news for skiers this winter include the continuation of Jackson Hole’s “Golden Ticket” promotion, that allows any skiers with a season pass for any ski resort anywhere else in the world to gain 40 per cent off their ski pass in Jackson between 9-13 January. Jackson Hole is also offering two free days’ skiing over Christmas when skiers book a minimum of six nights’ lodging and lift passes. UK tour operators will have all the details.

This December, the new Sweetwater gondola will open in place of the previous Eagle’s Rest and Sweetwater lifts, improving access to the nursery slopes and Casper area.

The new eight-passenger gondola will significantly ease congestion at the Teton Village base and is yet another improvement for novice skiers and snowboarders.
Last winter, Jackson Hole opened the new Teton chairlift, the first significant development to the resort since the Bridger Gondola was built in 1997.
