Snowjet has launched its winter 2011/12 flights earlier than usual, with savings for early bookers and increased frequency on routes.

With a choice of flights to Chambery or to Sion, next winter’s prices start at £49 or £79 one-way respectively. Prices include taxes. Flights operate from London Stansted, Gatwick and Bristol to Chambery in the French Alps, and from Stansted to Sion for the Swiss Alps. Currently most flights run at the weekends, although some off-peak dates include a Monday or Friday.

Both airports save time on transfers to many of the major resorts; Sion in particular is a much slicker gateway to places such as the Four Valleys or Saas Fee, shaving about an hour off the Geneva distance. And all Snowjet flights offer allocated seating for relaxed rather than rushed boarding.

Snowjet’s Managing Director David Lacy said: “Our passengers love the time-saving benefits afforded by flying direct to Sion. The increased capacity on the route, introduced for 2010/11, has proved so popular we’re doing the same again for next season. Over Christmas and New Year and from 10 February flights to Sion will be three times weekly with conveniently timed departures on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We have also increased the number of flights to Chambery for 2012 – during February half term and over the Easter break we’ll be offering three flights each week to meet demand for this popular destination.”
