Enjoy a free ski lesson with Oxygène this winter, to celebrate its 30th

The independent French ski and snowboard school Oxygène is offering free snowsports lessons across 14 different ski resorts this season, to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

The free ski and snowboard sessions will be available on three dates — 30 January, 30 March and 30 April — in Belle Plagne, Courchevel, Grand Bornand, La Plagne, La Tania, Les Menuires, Megève, Méribel, St Martin de Belleville, Serre Chevalier, Tignes, Ubay Valley, Val d’Isére and Val Thorens.

At the end of this month, the free activities on offer include a ski touring taster session in Megève, as well as a snowboarding initiation in the Three Valleys, intro to telemark skiing in Les Menuires and an off-piste excursion in Serre Chevalier.

Activities planned for later in the season include speed riding in La Grand Bornand and a moonlight ski session in La Plagne.

Now one of France’s most successful ski schools, Oxygène was founded in 1992 in La Plagne by the de Monvallier brothers. Twenty years on, the school operates in 14 resorts teaching a huge array of activities including adaptive skiing, e-mountain biking, speed riding, cross-country skiing, moonbikes as well as skiing, snowboarding, ski touring and telemarking.

Director of Oxygène, Julien Favre, said: “After two years of disruptions during the Covid pandemic and the more recent border problems, it feels like this winter is a long time coming and we are looking forward to welcoming our British guests back with smiling faces. Oxygène needs to celebrate our 30th anniversary in style.

“So, this winter we will be celebrating on the 30th of every month through until April. We invite all you mountain lovers, those who ski, snowboard, or those who just enjoy the Alpine vibe, to come and celebrate with us!”
