Pippa launches UK ski challenge

Pippa Middleton has launched a ski challenge to raise funds for Disability Snowsport UK
Pippa Middleton has today launched a ski challenge to raise money for Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK), encouraging skiers to clock up a combined total of 5,560 miles over the coming ski season.
The #Ski2Paralympics challenge of 5,560 miles is the distance from London to PyeongChang, site of this winter’s Paralympic Games. Skiers and snowboarders are encouraged to enroll to Disability Snowsport UK, donate £5 and then track their mileage during their ski holiday using the Crystal Ski Explorer App or other tracking device, sharing the mileage as often as possible on the DSUK Facebook page.
“It is clear to me that the work of DSUK changes and enhances people’s lives,” said Pippa Middleton, a keen skier, adventurer and patron of Disability Snowsports UK who two years competed in the Patrouille des Glaciers to raise money for the charity.
“DSUK’s adaptive snowsports programme creates opportunities and inspires disabled people through snowsports. There were times on the PDG when I was at my absolute limits, myself and my two team mates had to dig deep into our physical and mental reserves but knowing that I was supporting the work of DSUK helped me to keep going,” said Pippa.
“So, if you would like more of a challenge to your own ski season, why not take part in the DSUK Ski2Paralympics18 and let’s see who can ski the 1100 miles to Pyeonchang and back!”
For more information and to enroll for the challenge, visit DSUK’s Just Giving page.
