Powder for Australia

Thredbo enjoys some powder at last
After a pretty warm spell of weather recently, Australian slopes have been transformed over the weekend.
Heavy snow and high winds have arrived in many resorts, dumping well over half a metre of snow in places.
Australia’s largest resort Perisher was looking sorry for itself last week, but now they are revelling in new powder: 62cm so far and it is still snowing. Weather reports suggest snowfall is likely to continue throughout the week, breezy at times and definitely cooler than of late.
Snowfall has also been prominent at Mt Buller and at Thredbo, where they are looking forward to great powder days this week - once the blizzards clear that it. Thredbo is reporting 70cm of snow in 36 hours, Mt Buller another 13cm overnight last night.
We’ll keep you posted in our Snow section too.
