Red Bull releases Air Zermatt series

Air Zermatt perform around 1700 missions a year to aid stranded and injured skiers, climbers and hikers
A new docu-series by Red Bull has followed Air Zermatt, the best aerial search rescue team in the world, as they go about their work.
Air Zermatt perform around 1700 missions each year to aid stranded and injured skiers, climbers and hikers. The docu-series is an up-close-and-personal look at the work these real-life heroes perform day in, day out, braving high altitudes, strong winds, climbs into bottomless crevasses and extracting victims from cliffs and icy slopes — rescues that risk their lives along with that of the patient.
The Red Bull series is called “The Horn” referring not only to the Matterhorn backdrop for the films, but also the station’s horn that blares when a call for help comes in.
“With every rescue I take something I never forget: the will to stay alive,” says one rescuer in the trailer (below). “Every mistake will be your last.”
The 12-part series (which you will find here) includes films on crevasse rescue, an individual profile of a pilot, Gerold, and “The Storm”, all of which are around 45 minutes long. Well worth a watch — and remembering when you go into the mountains.
