Rent your own ski piste at night

Enjoy some private night skiing in the Manigod area in Lake Annecy

Fancy having a piste all to yourself? Some French resorts in the Lake Annecy ski area are this season offering private skiing at night.

The area of Manigod Labellemontagne, which includes La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand is offering skiers the chance to rent their own drag lift and blue piste for an evening for €290 (just over £210). Or if you want to really splash out, you can rent a chairlift for the evening for €1,990 (around £1,460). Or you can go large and rent the entire ski area — the biggest for night skiing in the whole Savoie Mont-Blanc region with seven slopes and four lifts — for €4,500 (£3,341).

So if you’ve got a big birthday coming up, look no further! Or if that’s all a bit out of your budget, there’s night skiing for the public every Friday and Saturday evening from 4.30-9pm — and every night during the extensive French school holidays.
