‘Saturday Kitchen’ at InTheSnow Live

Learn how to cook ski holiday favourites at InTheSnow Live
When InTheSnow took over the British Ski and Snowboard show at the NEC earlier this year, it promised something different.
This week, organisers have announced that InTheSnow Live will feature a “Skiworld Saturday Kitchen”, the final of a UK charity ski slope rally and live World Cup skiing broadcast on a giant screen from Austria, with commentary from Ski Sunday presenter Graham Bell.
InTheSnow Live is a new event, but runs over the dates of the old British Ski and Snowboard show (25-27 October), and intends to inject more enthusiasm back into the UK ski show scene.
Visitors will be able to learn how to make top-class alpine recipes and classic dishes with Skiworld’s development chef Lucy Cufflin in the Skiworld Saturday Kitchen.
Diane Palumbo from Skiworld said: “Our recipes are often requested by our guests, and at Skiworld Saturday Kitchen our guests and visitors to InTheSnow Live can find out at first hand how to create Lucy’s simple to make but extremely delicious food!”
The final of a UK rally around five indoor slopes, run by Snow-Camp, will be held at the Birmingham show’s large, multi-purpose indoor slope. The rally is a fundraiser for Snow-Camp, a charity that aims to get young people on the slopes. There will be rotating activities on the ski slope, including ski and snowboard lessons, races and tubing
Organisers also announced earlier this month that they will be broadcasting a live feed from the first World Cup ski race of the season in Sölden, Austria, with ex-Olympian Graham Bell providing minute-by-minute commentary.
Bell said: “Having a live feed from the World Cup racing in Sölden will bring an exciting dynamic to the show and will undoubtedly create a buzz. This has never been done at a UK snowsports show before and it will be great to commentate in front of a live audience and draw them into the excitement.”
There will also be a two-storey authentic après-ski bar for visitors to meet and mingle, enjoy toffee vodka and live music from the band Thunder.
InTheSnow Live takes place from 25-27 October. Tickets start at £7. See inthesnowlive.com
