Serre-Chevalier announce new Folie Douce Hotel complex to be opened for 2020

The highly regarded Alpine Folie Douce Hotel group will be extended into the resort of Serre-Chevalier for 2020.

The new Folie Douce Hotel sees the creation of 1500 beds for Serre-Chevalier, the complex will also benefit from its own ski lift, which will link to the Villeneuve ski area and a Folie Douce ski school, which is in partnership with a local ski school. Guests will also benefit from the world renowned Folie Douce restaurant and festive après-ski area which will be open from 17h to 21h, to avoid nuisance noise.

In edition to above, this innovative complex will also offer a space dedicated to ‘young people’ and includes an indoor play areas and “La Folie Tricks Academy”, which is a dedicated zone to practise skiing and snowboarding jumps, a climbing wall, a video games room, a movie theatre and a children’s hut for the younger ones. There will also be shop, a swimming pool and spa.

The hotel will offer a variation of accommodation options, from the standard room ‘hostel’ (from €25 per night) to the more luxury accommodation (up to €335 per night).

The opening is scheduled for December 2020 or, at the latest, December 2021 and is planning on offering both summer and winter holiday operations.
