The weather might be unseasonably warm at the moment, but more than 1,800 skiers and snowboarders in Siberia took “stripping off” a little further this week to set a new world record for the most people skiing downhill on one run in bikinis and bathing suits.

The 1,853 skiers and snowboarders stripped off to bikinis and swim shorts in the Russian ski resort of Sheregesh on Mount Zelyonaya during this week’s Grelka Festival.

Their plan was to break the previous world record for 500 bikini skiers, which they set in 2013. More than 50 cameras recorded the world-beating ski run, which has yet to be ratified by the Guinness Book of Records.

According to organiser Konstantin Koshkin, skiers travelled from all over Russia — and some as far as Paris in France, to join the event.
