Ski Amis has launched it 'Learn to Ski Week' package to bring together like-minded people

Ski chalet company Ski Amis has launched a learn-to-ski week in La Tania this March, in response to customer demand. Spring is a perfect time to learn to ski — days are long, there’s plenty of sunshine to enjoy al fresco lunches and temperatures are generally warmer. La Tania is the perfect spot to learn to ski, with nursery slopes within easy access and lovely long tree-lined runs back to the village at the end of the day.

“We all know of that friend or family member that would love to try out skiing but is worried about being the only one who can’t stay upright. We created our ‘Learn to Ski Week’ package to bring together like-minded people who are all in the same boat,” said Chris Woodbridge-Cox, commercial director of Ski Amis. “When you’re learning as a group, things don’t seem so daunting. We are sure this week is going to be a huge hit and all guest will return home loving skiing as much as we do.”

The week is an all-inclusive price of £899 for adults who have never skied before — but want to give it a go. It begins on 25 March, and includes lessons, chalet board, ski pass, airport transfers (but not flights) and equipment hire (see full list below). Ski Amis has also organised ski clothing hire as an optional extra so would-be skiers don’t need to invest in any kit before they’ve tried the sport we all love.

“Skismart, the ski clothing hire specialists, will offer a top-end jacket and pants set for just £50 for the week,” said Ski Amis. “This price includes delivery to and collection from your home, and you can even try the kit on for free beforehand to ensure you get a good fit.”

Included on the Ski Amis Learn to Ski Week:

* Transfers from and to Geneva, Grenoble or Chambery Airport
* Seven nights ‘chalet board’ in Chalet Christine, La Tania (Three Valleys)
* Six-day local area lift pass (Courchevel and La Tania – 150km of pistes)
* Six days morning lessons with an English speaking ESF instructor (max 8 per group)
* Ski, boot and helmet hire (Silver Evolution)

What’s not included:

* Flights to Geneva/Grenoble or Chambery
* Wintersports Travel Insurance
