Deepest Argentina ... Las Lenas

From this summer Las Lenas in Argentina will be ‘free’ to ski to anyone buying, or renewing, the Vail Resort’s Epic Pass for 2010/11.

Vail Resort’s has announced expansion of the Epic Pass to include the Southern Hemisphere for this 2010 season, or for next summer (2011). The pass now gives free access to the ski area at Las Lenas when you stay at associated hotels: the Piscis, the Escorpio, the Aries, Villa Capricorno or the Acuario.

The Epic Pass is largely a season pass, normally giving unrestricted access to Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail, Beaver Creek, Heavenly and Arapahoe Basin. But anyone can take advantage of its lower cost to visit the US on, say, a 10-day or more trip.

To include Argentina means that the $599 price tag covers two season’s skiing effectively – and is quite tempting if you are considering a summer trip to the snow.

To get your Epic ‘Endless’ Pass for 2010/11, you’ll need to reserve it with a $49 deposit now; the remainder is paid in September. The $599 pass gives unlimited use of all of the above resorts, at any time during the season.

The season at Las Lenas runs from the end of June until October 2010.
