Ski from Innsbruck with Crystal

Crystal Ski Holidays have added a ski and city break in Innsbruck for the winter
Crystal Ski Holidays have launched a new ski and city break in Innsbruck for the winter ahead, allowing skiers to get a little more from their winter holiday.
The Austrian city of Innsbruck has nine ski resorts in the surrounding mountains, offering more than 300km of pistes accessed by an eco-friendly shuttle bus, complimentary to holders of the “Olympic Ski World Innsbruck” lift pass (£209 for adults, £127 for children). Another of the great benefits of Innsbruck is that you can fly directly into the city from a host of regional airports around the UK, including Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.
As a change from the usual ski resort ambience, Innsbruck offers a wealth of dining options, galleries and shops to enjoy post skiing, as well plenty to do for non-skiers.
Just 20 minutes from the city centre, the Nordkette offers wonderful views of Innsbruck and is home to the “Karrinne” – an extreme ski run with a gradient of 70% and is only suitable for experts. The Stubai Glacier is Austria’s largest glacier ski resort, reaching to an altitude of more than 3,200m.
A few kilometres south of Innsbruck, accessed via bus or tram is Patscherkofel, site of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympic Games. There’s a well-equipped snow park at Axamer Lizum for intermediate skiers and boarders, while the longest snow park in the region is at Muttereralm, along with a Kidspark, Slopestyle Area and other attractions. Another family-friendly area is on the Rangger Köpfl by Oberperfuss, while Glungezer is close to nature and offers magnificent views of the Inn Valley.
Schlick 2000 near Fulpmes has fantastic natural snow but can also be covered completely with artificial snow if required. Finally, Kühtai — known for the part it has played in The Jump — is Austria’s highest ski resort and only 20 minutes’ drive from Innsbruck. It draws freestylers and powder hounds alike with plentiful off-piste and the k-park Kühtai.
Crystal is offering two hotels for its city-ski breaks in Innsbruck this winter, the modern, four-star Hotel Grauer Bär which has an indoor wellness area with penthouse swimming pool with panorama, with package prices (including flights and transfers) from £685 per person. Alternatively, the three-star Hotel Zillertal is a good-value, family-run hotel, priced from £619 per person — including flights and transfers.
