Chamonix Mont Blanc in France, Sun Valley in Idaho and Snowbasin in Utah have been added to the Ikon Pass or next winter, offering even more options to the ski pass from Alterra Mountain Company that scans the globe.

These additions to the Ikon Pass means holders have access to 50 destinations in 10 countries across the Americas, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. The 2022/23 Ikon Pass goes on sale next week, Thursday 10 March, at a cost of USD$1079 (£810 using today’s exchange rate).

Chamonix is one of four destinations in Europe now included — offering full pass holders seven days across the season in Chamonix as well as skiing in Dolomiti Superski (Italy), Kitzbühel in Austria and Zermatt in Switzerland. This season, a seven-day pass for Zermatt costs from CHF 433 (£353) and Chamonix Mont-Blanc from €265.20 (£220).

In addition to Sun Valley and Snowbasin, ski resorts across America included on the pass range from Aspen Snowmass in Colorado, Jackson Hole in Wyoming, Revelstoke in Canada and Mammoth Mountain in California.

“We are thrilled to add these iconic and storied destinations, Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley, Sun Valley and Snowbasin to the Ikon Pass community and expand pass holder options in Europe, Utah and the Pacific and Northwest,” said Erik Forsell, chief marketing officer of Alterra Mountain Company.

“Members of the Ikon Pass community now have even more ways to play with access to 50 global destinations, new pass options, and added benefits that offer flexibility, and inspire adventure and a commitment to get out there next winter.”
