Glencoe, Glenshee and Nevis Range are offering money off ski lessons and kit hire

It’s snowing in Scotland, just in time for World Snow Day this weekend, and a host of offers to get families skiing and snowboarding.

On Sunday (18 January), Glencoe, Glenshee and Nevis Range as well as Snow Factor in Glasgow are offering money off lessons and equipment hire in celebration World Snow Day, run by the International Ski Federation.

Nevis Range is offering 50% off beginners packages for the first 10 people to book by phone (01397 705825 ) and quote “World Snow Day Offer”. Packages include a one-day beginners area lift pass, one-day equipment hire including skis or snowboard and boots, and a two-hour group beginners ski or snowboard lesson. Nevis Range is also offering half-price snow shoe hire all day on Sunday.

In the west of Scotland at Glencoe Mountain, there will be free chairlift passes for all children, as well as a snowman building competition, igloo building workshops and sledging races. At Glenshee Resort in the east, children under 16 will have free access to the beginners area and to the Baddock chair lift. There will also be snow sculpture making and sledging.

Snow Factor in Glasgow is offering free sledging and lift passes for children on Sunday, when accompanied by a paying adult. Children can also eat for free when with a paying adult.
