This summer's course in Hintertux guarantees work in St Anton next winter

A UK company has launched a brand new ski instructor course in Austria this summer, with a guaranteed job in St Anton for the winter season.

The three-week course with Snoworks on the Hintertux Glacier in Austria this summer includes eight days’ training with an Austrian Skiführer — the highest level trainer in the country. Following that, a ten-day exam that will be held in Germany aims to qualify students at level one status which provides the guaranteed job in St Anton.

The programme is being run by Snoworks in association with the Arlberg Ski School, and will offer jobs to all students who pass the Austrian Level 1 exam (Antwärter) in Hintertux this August.

Head of Snoworks GAP courses, Lee Townend, said: ‘Because of our excellent relationship with the Arlberg Ski School in St Anton, we are able to offer this fantastic opportunity to work in such an amazing environment. The Antwärter qualification means a guaranteed job for the whole season and I’m delighted that we can now offer this to British skiers.”

Participants must be able to speak German to a good conversational level, both for the exam and for work in the ski school next winter.

The course runs from 24 July to 13 August. For more information visit snoworksgap.co.uk
