A piste in the ski resort of Jahorina in Bosnia and Herzegovina has been named after tennis player Novak Djokovic, who seems to have recovered well following his brush with Covid-19.
The inauguration took place last week, 16 July 2020, in the ski resort in Republika Srpska in the heart of the Balkans. Jahorina has 45km of pistes and 10km of Nordic trails, with eight lifts set at an elevation of between 1,300 and 1,916m. In 1984, Jahorina hosted the women’s downhill, slalom and giant slalom events of the Sarajevo Olympics.
Pictures were published by the Serbian news site Mondo.
In a non-coronavirus parallel world, it’s doubtful Djokovic would have the time to visit the ski resort – he would have just finished playing at Wimbledon which was scheduled to run between 29 June and 12 July 2020.
