Selfie sticks, long johns, santa hats and mankinis are the items most left behind in ski resorts according to Crystal Ski.

This season the world’s biggest ski tour operator says it has been left with a record amount of lost property — including some rather eclectic items.

A spokesperson for Crystal Ski Holidays said some of the more bizarre items have caused disbelief among resort staff: “We expect a number of ski-related items to be left behind, but the life-size cut out of Lucy Beale [from Eastenders] was somewhat of a surprise, especially as none of our staff saw ‘her’ entering the chalet.”

During December 2014 and January 2015, Crystal Ski staff found a size 7 left foot ski boot and 8 right foot ski boot, a Fire Constabulary badge, a nail polish set (including a lamp to dry the polish), 12 pairs of ski goggles, 15 pairs of long johns, four Christmas jumpers and two unwrapped Christmas presents – the contents of which still remain a mystery.

They also found 98 santa hats, a customised flute, a walking stick and three pairs of Spanx. If you’ve left anything behind with Crystal this season, call +44 (0) 208 939 5027 to retrieve it.
