A new ski movie, filmed at night in Ultra HD in the powder fields of British Columbia, Canada and Alaska has taken our breath away.

The mesmerising AFTERGLOW has been shot by Sweetgrass Productions for Phillips Ambilight TV — and it’s extraordinary. Featuring world-class skiers Pep Fujas, Chris Benchetler, Eric Hjorleifson and Daron Rahives, this really is night skiing as you’ve never seen it before.

And filming wasn’t easy. The production team and skiers had to brave biting, night-time cold in remote wilderness. To create the dramatic night scenes that are drenched in vibrant colour and light, the team rigged the mountain with custom-made LED lights, and clad the skiers in specially designed LED suits.

“Our objective was to show how amazing outback skiing could be using the power of colour and light,” the said.

If this doesn’t get you in the mood for skiing — we don’t know what will!
