Skiing continues in Val Thorens

The ski season will continue in Val Thorens until 10 May
The ski resort of Val Thorens in the Three Valleys, France has posted a nice advert for its current ski conditions – with more snow forecast over the weekend.
The video snow report was posted onto YouTube yesterday (click to watch below) and has us wishing our skis weren’t packed away for the winter. Val d’Isère is closing this weekend, as is Ischgl which is hosting its legendary Top of the Mountain concert tomorrow to mark the end of the season.
Val Thorens, however, will keep its lifts open until 10 May - with 180cm snow depths on its upper slopes and 70cm on the lower slopes. But, warns the resort, conditions are “changing rapidly”.
Meanwhile powder conditions persist in Glencoe — so if you want some skiing closer to home, head to Scotland!
