Some unique, limited edition skiing prints and memorabilia from top skiers around the world will be auctioned over the next few weeks, to benefit the family of JP Auclair, who died in an avalanche last October.

JP was one of the world’s best skiers, and was just 37 when he and fellow skier Andreas Fransson were caught in an avalanche at the end of September 2014. Sherpas Cinemas, the production company JP co-founded, has launched an online auction to benefit the skier’s family — son Leo and partner Ingrid.

The first items up for auction are a limited edition print print on canvas by Sherpas Cinema’s Dave Mossop of Ama Dablam taken during the production of Into The Mind, a 36x24” signed archival print on aluminum of JP, taken by Dave Mossop during the making of All.I.Can. There is also a pair of K2 Back 9 skis donated by Eric Hjorleifson — value? Priceless.

Over the next few weeks items donated by skiers around the world such as Eric Hjorleifson, Jimmy Chin, Jon Olsson and many others will be made available for bidding.

The auction is being hosted on Alpine Initiatives, and 100% of the proceeds go to the Auclair Fund, directly benefitting Leo and Ingrid.

Sherpas Cinemas have also produced a tribute film “We love you JP” to celebrate the skier’s life.
