Small operator success in La Plagne

Ice and Fire chalet Les Coches
New La Plagne ski company Ice and Fire has just realised their customer satisfaction figures for the winter season, announcing an excellent result.
The 2010/11 may have been one to remember in terms of long sunny days and underwhelming snowfall amounts, but that has not prevented small tour operators from enjoying a successful season. December of course was a great start for snowfall and encouraging bookings, but how did the rest of the winter fare?
Just five months ago, Ice and Fire embarked on their first winter in La Plagne – welcoming their first guests to Chalet Campanules in Les Coches. And with a new venture comes the uncertainty of how successful it will prove.
But as company director Heather Morison comments:
“95% of guests who completed our survey said that the holiday met, or exceeded, their expectations; and 90% said that they would return. This is great news for us, and we’re already working hard to ensure the same performance for next year.
Staying small gives us the chance to get to know each of our guests personally, which helps us to tailor make their holidays to fit what they want. We just want people to have a great time out here in the snow.”
Ice and Fire is based in Les Coches and currently operates just one boutique chalet sleeping up to 24.
Heather and Andy have been regular contributors to our Blog section throughout the winter 2010/11 season – and will be back with more updates from La Plagne next winter too.
