Ski-keen fathers in Utah are pretty lucky: they get to enjoy a special day on the slopes this weekend. It’s the last day of the winter season for Snowbird. What’s more, they can combine it with a beer or two at the resort Brewfest! How’s that for a fun weekend.

Extending their season once already, Snowbird is staying open for Fathers’ Day. The resort will offer riding in Little Cottonwood Canyon and expert terrain on Hidden Peak, followed by a host of summer entertainment. These include the Brewfest and live music to rock out the season. Twelve Utah breweries will turn on the partying, which includes a BBQ to welcome summer to the slopes ... at last.

‘We’ve extended the season as a thank you to our diehard skiers and all the fathers that want to get in a few last turns. The weather looks fantastic for what should be a very special holiday weekend at Snowbird,’ said resort President Bob Bonar.

Customers will be limited to one ride up the Aerial Tram per day. All additional terrain is closed and is being considered backcountry terrain. It’s really for experienced skiers and riders only, who can navigate the tricky terrain at this time of year.
