Snowfall for the Rockies

Fernie's first dumps

Cor - look at Fernie!

It ‘pitched’ heavily in the Rockies this week – from Sun Peaks to Breckenridge. Yes, alright: that means it has been snowing!
Sun Peaks and Fernie seem to have enjoyed some of the best of the snowfall. Fernie Alpine Resort is reporting up to 70cm of fresh snow at the top of White Pass lift on Thursday 29 October, in their first significant dump of the season.

And the storm moved south into the US Rockies too. In Colorado they battled through mid-week blizzards. OK, so warmer weather is due to thaw things a bit low down from the weekend but this is a decent dump for the mountains and should help to bed down that snow base.
