Ski instructors can take advantage of free race training in Tignes at the end of the month, thanks to Snoworks.

Snoworks is offering free giant slalom (GS) and slalom coaching during the week beginning 24 June for any ski instructors wanting to take their Eurotest and Test Technique exams this summer. The five-day training course on the Tignes Glacier normally costs £250.

The Eurotest is a timed GS run that instructors must take to gain their International Ski Teaching Diploma that will allow them to work freely and independently in France and other countries around the world.

“We want to give ski instructors access to affordable training to help them become fully qualified and therefore we have introduced, for the first time, our free training weeks during the summer in Tignes,” said Phil Smith, director of Snoworks Ski Courses. “This also provides the opportunity for us to introduce them to our philosophies and help them develop as ski instructors.”

The course will run from Saturday 24 June 2017 for five days, and afterwards instructors have the option for staying on with Snoworks for between one and five weeks of additional training for the normal cost of £250 per week.

Snoworks has a range of accommodation options available for interested skiers, from a self-catered apartment (from £60pp for seven nights) to Hotel Terrachu, £330pp for seven nights’ half board. Return transfers from Geneva airport can also be arranged.
