Due to the excellent snow conditions, Sunshine Village (Banff) has announced plans to extend the ski day for the rest of the season.

All lifts will run until 4:30pm daily, with Jack Rabbit until 5pm. This will give skiers and boarders about another half hour on the mountain. As a added bonus, a reduced Sunshine Spring lift pass is now available for visitors to take advantage of the super late conditions.

For experts, the infamous couloir Delirium Dive opened recently. Named by an Australian newspaper as one of the top 10 off piste runs in the world, the Dive offers 600 acres of scary bits – extreme terrain for the brave to tackle.

And with Sunshine enjoying a long season into May, the party events culminate with the Slush Cup on 23 May (a typical pond skimming event that takes places around many ski resorts in the Alps and North America).
