SWISS flights to Sion go on sale

SWISS will fly from London direct to Sion next February

SWISS is offering flights from London to Sion again for part of the 2017/18 ski season. This February just gone, Swiss International Airlines operated a direct service during the February half term for skiers travelling from London to resorts in Valais.

Sion is in the heart of the Valais canton, offering much shorter transfer times than Geneva to resorts such as Zermatt (one hour) Verbier (45 minutes), Nendaz (25 minutes) and Crans-Montana (30 minutes).

Following the popularity of this service, SWISS has announced it will offer flights every Saturday throughout February. The services will be operated by Helvetic Airways on an Embraer 190 aircraft with 112 passenger seats.

The flights go from London Heathrow on Saturday mornings, returning from Sion to London on Saturday afternoons with a flying time of two hours. On 3 February and 24 February, the flight will leave Heathrow at 11:50, arriving 14:50 and returning to London at 15:30 flying into Heathrow for 16:15. On 10 and 17 February the flight will leave Heathrow at 10:30, arriving Sion at 11:20, returning at 12:15 landing in Heathrow 15:15.
