SWISS will be flying from London Gatwick to Geneva three times a week from 14 December. The airline is also introducing new fares, offering one-way trips from London to Geneva for as little as €39 (£33.60 using today’s exchange rate).

The new route from Gatwick to Geneva on Monday, Saturday and Sunday, will be heartily welcomed by skiers. The airline is one of only a few that still carry skis and snowboards without extra charge, and it currently flies to Geneva and Zurich from London Heathrow and London City.

The airline is also revamping its pricing structure, offering a new “Geneva Economy Flex fare” from 1 September, giving passengers the option to modify their bookings at no extra cost. SWISS says the fare will start at €79 (£68) one way — but ski carriage will still be included.

Its cheapest fare — the Geneva Economy Light — offers a one-way flight for as little as CHF 39 one-way but only includes one piece of carry-on baggage. Extra baggage space cannot be purchased and the ticket cannot be changed once bought.
