Tour op allows dogs on ski holidays

Would you dog enjoy playtime in the snow while you ski?

A tour operator has introduced a new service allowing skiers to take their dogs on holiday. VIP SKI has launched a “dogsalong” service in a handful of their chalets in Alpe d’Huez and Morzine in France and in its Chalet Glacier in Zermatt, Switzerland.

Canine guests will receive a brand new ball on arrival, and will be fed, watered and housed at no extra charge.

“Knowing how hard it can be to leave precious pooches at home, we are making sure canine companions enjoy a luxury alpine break as much as their human guests do,” said VIP SKI.

While the company says it doesn’t provide a dog-walking service, VIPSKI’s chalet staff “might” be on hand to exercise the four-legged friends while their owners are out skiing.

But having fun in the snow, as well as relaxing in front of a log fire together, is all part of the human-canine bonding experience, the company suggests.
