Tschuggen Grand Hotel’s smart new ski lift

The Tschuggen Express lift is a small funicular railway with two 6-seater cabins that has been offering a private way up the mountain in Arosa, Switzerland, for guests of the 5-star Tschuggen Grand Hotel since 2009.
For the 2018/19 season it is being replaced by a new improved version with self-levelling cabins that stay horizontal while ascending the undulating track. So guests will be even more cosseted as they ascend just over 150m vertical on a track around 500m long in just two and a half minutes.
The funicular is accessed using guests’ room keys.
The Tschuggen Grand Hotel also boasts one of the biggest and best spa facilities in the skiing world.
