Verbier offers self-tracking drones

Verbier is offering the self-tracking drones in specific areas of the ski resort
Fancy filming your skiing exploits with a self-tracking drone? While the use of drones is banned in some US ski resorts, Verbier is embracing the technology by offering Europe’s first self-tracking drones.
The Hexo+ self-tracking drones require no remote control but follow you on the slopes — and in the snowpark — using simply Bluetooth combined with a Smartphone App that uses the GPS in your phone to follow you.
Téléverbier is renting the drones for CHF400 (about £285) per day or CHF250 (about £180) for a half day, for specific areas such as the Audi quattro funslope, the Snowpark and the Slalom Course at the Stade on Savoleyres.
Téléverbier staff will be on hand to help skiers and snowboarders with take offs and landings, as well as film the action — and at the end of the session, you will receive a video showing all exploits of the day.
