Verbier reduces ski pass prices

Verbier and the 4 Vallées ski area have lowered the price of their lift passes
Verbier and the 4 Vallées ski area have lowered the price of their lift passes in response to the strong Swiss Franc. The prices of day tickets will be reduced during low- and mid-season weeks, and a discount will be offered on advance online booking.
“We want to encourage skiers coming out of the peak periods of Christmas / New Year and Carnival weeks,” said Virginia Barras, marketing coordinator for the 4 Vallées (VS).
“The daily rate will be lowered during periods of average attendance: 50CHF instead of 56CHF (saving about £4) in Nendaz, 60CHF instead of 66CHF in Verbier, or 64CHF instead of 71CHF (£42 instead of £47) for the 4 Vallées”.
If customers purchase ten days in advance via the online booking system, they will receive a 5% discount.
Ms Barras told Swiss newspaper Le Matin: “We must answer two big challenges with the strong franc and the decline in attendance.”
