Top Swiss ski resort Verbier has unveiled a new star attraction: the world’s highest zipline.

The new Mount 4 Zipline starts at 3330m and flies for 1.4km over the Tortin glacier, descending 383 vertical metres between Mont Fort and Les Gentianes. Thrill-seekers are able to reach speeds of up to 63mph (100khp).

Previously, the French ski resort of Val Thorens held the record for having the world’s highest zip wire.

The Mount 4 Zipline costs CHF45 for adults, CHF28 for teens and CHF20 for children — and a lift pass is needed to access the start. The Mount 4 Zipline is expected to operate all year round, subject to the weather, and a combined summer zipline ticket and lift pass is available.
