Vikings in Ischgl

Where's Kirk?
The Vikings have invaded Ischgl. Well, it’s not quite the Kirk Douglas troop from the famous 1958 film; it’s Vickie the Viking and friends - and they are snow sculptures.
Ten pairs of skilled sculptors from around the world have just spent five days carving and crafting massive piles of snow for the ‘Shapes in White’ contest.
Ischgl’s annual event has a different theme every year; this year the challenge was to recreate the characters from the Euro-cartoon, Vickie the Viking. You can’t miss these masterful creations, as they are dotted around Ischgl’s slopes and will remain in place until the spring sun melts them …
