It could be you!

It could be you!

Thanks to Erna Low, you and three friends could be driving away to the French Alps for free this winter, winning a splendid week’s skiing holiday worth £2,700! Check out this competition:

Self-drive ski specialist Erna Low is running the prize draw in a joint promotion with Serre Chevalier Vallée, offering four lucky people the chance to spend a week in a smart apartment, in a major resort.

The winners will receive 7 nights free self-catering accommodation in Serre Chevalier, one of France’s more southerly and hugely underrated ski areas. As well as the apartment for four, the prize also includes lift passes for six days and four free entries to the resort’s sumptuous Grand Bains spa complex. To encourage drivers, the winner’s vehicle will also be fully equipped for the journey – a set of Michelin winter tyres, a ski roof box, Thule ski carrier and a Eurotunnel FlexiPlus crossing are part of the prize package.

The competition closes on 30 December 2010. You can enter using Erna Low’s dedicated online form, set up through their website and simple to use (see Links below). This is already available, so you can register right away. Note that the holiday must be taken outside the peak period: 12 February to 12 March 2011.

To catch half-term travellers, there will also be a special week promotion at the UK Eurotunnel terminal in Folkstone. Anyone passing through between Wednesday 20 October and Wednesday 27 October will be able to complete an entry form in the Departures lounge. And visitors to the London Ski Show will have the opportunity to enter the draw if they get themselves along to the Erna Low or Serre Chevalier Vallée stands (from 20 to 24 October).

Serre Chevalier is a straightforward drive from the Eurotunnel terminus in France, taking about 8.5 hours to cover the 600 or so miles. Once there you’ll have access to over 250km of splendid intermediate terrain and a variety of traditionally French bases, including the charming old town of Briançon – the highest in the country. Check out our resort page for more.

An old town, traditional French atmosphere, the Ecrins mountains and a decent-sized ski area … sound good?
