26th September 2014, by Abi Butcher

The ski shows in London and Manchester are only one month away — and we have four pairs of tickets to each event worth £24 and £20 respectively to give away.

The shows kick of 24 October in Manchester, finishing 2 November in London, combining ski lessons, freestyle ski and snowboard demonstrations, avalanche talks, après-ski bars, live music.

If you don’t manage to win one of our tickets, don’t panic – book a ticket to the shows online and you can register for a free lift pass at Courmayeur, Cervinia, Monterosa, Pila, La Thuile, Aosta Valley resorts, Chamonix and Sierra Nevada. And before you even go away, the how has teamed up with The Chill Factore and The Snow Centre Hemel Hempstead to offer all adult visitors a free lift pass to use at their real snow slope in Manchester. All equipment is provided, all you need is a pair of gloves and warm clothing.

The 2014 Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show North at EventCity, Manchester runs from 24 to 26 October, and the London show in Earls Court 2 from 10 October to 2 November.

In London, visitors can take a lesson on the indoor slope — with prices starting from £5. All equipment is provided, all you need to do is wear trousers, a long sleeved top and bring some gloves and loads of enthusiasm.

If you’ve already been skiing, British ski coach and pro freeskier Warren Smith and his Academy will be giving visitors the chance to have a virtual one to one lesson in a real time video analysis booth, worth £50.

Tour operators, ski resorts and ski shops will be on hand to help you plan and book your ideal winter holiday.
