WIN! Prize draw launched

Fancy France?
Great news! Where to Ski and Snowboard is offering one lucky reader, and up to three friends, the chance to win a week’s luxury lodging in one of 11 top French resorts next winter – courtesy of Pierre & Vacances Premium. We have launched a super duper prize draw for our best resort reporters; all you need to do to stand a chance of winning is jot down your resort experiences in 2009/10.
Every year, we give away 100 copies of the new edition of the book to the authors of that season’s most useful resort reports. This year we are taking a step further…
As well as receiving copies of our wonderful guidebook, fully revised for the season ahead, those top 100 reporters will automatically go forward for our special prize draw. The first name drawn from the WTSS ‘hat’ this summer will win a week’s accommodation in one of Pierre & Vacances’ upscale Premium apartments. You can read more about that package in our feature here.
The prize
Our winner will receive a 7-night stay in a 4-star PV Premium residence during the 2010/11 winter season (subject to availability). The prize will be a one-bedroom apartment, sleeping up to four people (comfortably two, but possible to put two others on a sofa-bed in the living room), and taken in any one of the 11 top French bases listed below – so, there is a great opportunity to choose the destination. With the exception of the French school holidays, you’ll be able to choose your preferred dates too.
Choose from PV Premium residences in the following resorts, all attached to some of the world’s largest ski areas: Grand Massif (Flaine and Les Carroz), Chamonix, Les Arcs 1800 and 1950, La Plagne (Aime), Tignes, Méribel/Mottaret, Courchevel 1850 and Les Menuires.
Reporting back
For a chance of entry to the prize draw, you’ll need to submit your review to us by Saturday 24 April – based on your travels this season only, please. We rely heavily on these reports when editing our chapters and welcome detailed feedback on any resort. The more opinions we receive on particular aspects of a resort or ski area, the better. Short reviews can rate as highly as longer ones too, so don’t be put off sending in whatever you feel able to contribute.
If you have a copy of the 2010 book, you’ll find guidelines on page 12 to help you structure comments. But as a quick reminder, we’d like to hear about your likes, dislikes and surprises about the resort; whether queues were a particular problem and where; feedback on individual facilities such as ski school tuition, childcare, restaurants and hotels visited…
We list on the website, under ‘Reporting‘, the three main ways to submit reviews – choose whichever method you prefer (although we’d encourage use of the full report form for detailed feedback). There is also a form to add any resort prices acquired during your stay too (not specifically part of the prize draw).
Someone will ski or board away with this marvellous prize … it could be you!
Terms and conditionsEntry to the prize draw is subject to selection as one of our top 100 reporters, and based on reports concerning the 2009/10 season only.
Reports should be submitted by the due date of Saturday 24 April 2010.
Employees of PV holidays and staff on Where to Ski and Snowboard are not eligible for entry to the prize draw.
The prize is taken subject to availability of chosen resort / dates and excludes the French school holiday periods (ie most of February).
The 100 book winners and the prize draw winner will be notified during August. The editors’ decision is final.
