5th October 2012, by Abi Butcher

The 2012 British Ski and Snowboard Show kicks off at the NEC in Birmingham exactly three weeks today — and we have ten pairs of tickets, worth £30, to give away.

The show runs from Friday 26 October to Sunday 28 October, and features an indoor skills slope, Big Air Freestyle Show (pictured), mountain bike demos, rock climbing challenges as well as a thriving retail area for kit, tour operators and tourist offices.

The British Ski and Snowboard Show, sponsored by the Daily Telegraph, has been running for 24 years now. For 2012, the show will also feature an “talk theatre” where experts such as Henry Schniewind and Graham Bell will give advice on everything from avalanches and getting fit for skiing to working a season and the importance of proper fitting ski boots.

Every visitor to the show will receive a free day lift pass to Engelberg in Switzerland, worth around £50. There is also a VIP lounge for Ski Club of Great Britain members, and early ticket deals for Friday’s show, which coincides with half term.

Tickets cost between £5 for adults and £3 for children in advance (on Friday 26 October), to £15 for adults (on Saturday 27 October) and £5 for children on the door.
