UPDATE
The winners of the three pairs of tickets have been drawn from the hat, and they are:
Angus Frazer
Debbie Morris
Alun Perkins.
Team GB skiers and snowboarders, along with the World’s Greatest Explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE, will be appearing at this year’s Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Festival in Battersea Park, running from 24-27 October. And Where to Ski and Snowboard has three pairs of tickets to give away to the event — worth £43.30 per pair.
We’ve also arranged a special 10% discount for our readers: to save 10% enter the discount/voucher code WHERE2SKI10 when you get the chance.
Sir Ranulph will be hosting a speaker session on Friday 25 October for travel enthusiasts, followed by a book signing — he has authored no less than 23 books. He says: “I am pleased to be the first speaker at this year’s Ski and Snowboard Festival. I have been leading expeditions worldwide for 50 years and look forward to attending the event, alongside the Telegraph’s Ski and Snowboard experts and selection of exhibitors.
“I am looking forward to meeting folk who look forward to their own travel adventures to discuss some of their experiences and the destinations and moments that I treasure most. I hope to encourage visitors to push their boundaries, to travel deeper and to book meaningful and memorable travel experiences.”
This year’s Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Festival is running for the fifth year in a row at Battersea Evolution, and expects to draw crowds of even more than 17,000, who visited in 2018 breaking records since the event’s move to its new location in 2015. The festival has in total been running for 46 years and has traditionally been the start of the winter ski season for British skiers and snowboarders.
Along with destination exhibitors from Tirol in Austria to Sierra Nevada to Ski Vermont, there will tour operators large and small, inspiration and advice for beginners to experts from the likes of renowned ski coach Warren Smith and Team GB’s Winter Olympic and Paralympic skiers and snowboarders. There will also be plenty of kit to buy — the latest available from this year’s range to last year’s bargains.
The festival also includes craft beer tasting, a street food village, curling on the ice rink, competitions, DJ sets, comedy and a line-up of live music. Not to be missed!
Tickets start at £21.65 per person (including access to the après event). But don’t forget to claim your 10% discount.
