Work will begin later this summer on a €60million wellness complex in the Austrian ski resort of Ischgl. When finished, the Silvretta Therme will have a gigantic pool with separate swimming areas across multiple floors of the building, a sauna “landscape”, state-of-the-art fitness centre, bowling alley and ice skating rink.

The spa is being built in the mountains of Ischgl on the left side of the Trisanna in Schmittenboden and will start in September, expected to take three years and finish with a scheduled opening time of winter 2022/2023.

In all there will be 900 square metres of water surface including a brine pool and indoor and outdoor swimming pools, along with a grotto and Aquasound. The ‘sauna landscape’ will take up
1,300 square metres across the fourth and fifth floors, including cold water pools, and the fitness centre a further 400 square metres.

The first-floor ice rink will be outside with views to the Silvretta Arena, and in addition to the bowling alley there will be an event hall with space for 600 people.
