Yoga festival a first in Val d’Isère

British yoga teacher Charlotte Saint Jeant has set up the three-day festival
Val d’Isère is holding a yoga festival in April, the first event of its kind in a French ski resort.
Around 24 yoga classes, as well as dance and music workshops and concerts will take place over three days from 5-7 April.
The brainchild or British yoga teacher and Val d’Isère resident Charlotte Saint Jeant, the festival will feature visiting yogis from around the world, and many different types of yoga including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha Yoga and even some Pilates classes, too.
But it doesn’t come cheap: one class costs €25 (£21.50) when pre-booked, €30 (about £26) when booked on the day, dropping to €90 (£77.60) for four classes if booked in advance. A ticket for the whole weekend, which allows attendance to the concerts, workshops and all classes, is €195 (about £168). Perhaps a good option for the non-skiers?
