Summary
Borovets is archetypal Bulgaria and still meets the needs of those seeking a jolly time on a tight budget. Large, modern hotels and a small selection of quirkier bars and restaurants provide the infrastructure for a resort still developing in response to market demands. The slopes are better suited to intermediates; nursery slopes are fine but can be overcrowded, and the transition from blues to reds is a big one. But the ski school has a good reputation and there are signs of improving resort facilities ...
