Summary
Picturesque Hinterthal is one of Hockönig’s five villages, a little known valley near Salzburg but with a fairly extensive ski area. The slopes spread across four mountains and are best suited to intermediates and beginners. The village is small – little more than a few four-star hotels and chalets, shops and bars – but it now connects well with the main area via a fast chair-lift.
