Summary
Lanersbach is a spacious, attractive village, largely unspoiled by the busy road up to Hintertux that passes the main lift. It makes an appealing and quiet base for exploring the resorts of the Zillertal and Tuxertal, including the snow-sure glacier. The local Eggalm slopes are a short walk away and offer pleasantly varied, and often delightfully crowd-free, intermediate pistes. A gondola from Vorderlanersbach links with Mayrhofen’s slopes. Challenges for experts are limited, but there is a fine off-piste route starting a short walk from the top of the slopes and finishing at the village. Both Hintertux and Mayrhofen get their own web pages.
