Summary
Levi’s convenience is its key appeal for visitors, and only 15km from Kittila airport. The village is a small purpose-built place of hotels and cabins, with some good restaurants and a lively Finnish atmosphere that make it a popular family destination. Mid-winter on the hill can be bleak though. The slopes cover a partly wooded mountain, of generally undemanding intermediate terrain – the steep World Cup run is an exception. But there are plentiful off-slope diversions, including the 17 pools at the Spa Levitunturi resort at the top of the mountain.
