Summary
St Luc is the sunniest of the five resorts in the Val d’Anniviers. The slopes are linked to those of Chandolin, forming the biggest ski area in the valley and best suited to beginners and intermediates; there are no black runs. Gentle cruising runs abound; most lifts are drags, although one key drag was replaced by a six-pack last season. St-Luc also has the attraction of a pretty centre and a famously characterful old hotel, the 4-star Bella Tola. Free ski-buses serve both villages, but to make the most of the other resorts in the valley (notable Grimentz and Zinal, which each have their own web pages) you really need a car.
