  • Long queues at weekends
  • Limited lodging at the Village

Summary

Most people skiing Sunshine are based in Banff, a 20-minute bus-ride away – though you can stay at the main mid-mountain lift base. It’s a long gondola ride from the valley, so staying up here saves a lot of wasted time each day. It’s an isolated, tiny place, so you need to be sure you like that kind of thing. The slopes offer varied terrain, excellent snow and grand scenery.
