Summary
Like St Moritz, Zell is a town beside a lake (frozen if you’re lucky). The similarities end there; but Zell is a towny resort that makes a refreshing change from the Austrian norm of rustic chalet-style villages. From the skiing point of view, the appeal is greatly strengthened by having an excellent glacier just down the road at Kaprun, which gets its own web page.
