Review of Verbier

3rd March 2008 by Geoff Riddington

I thought my first visit to Verbier could not be bettered and was set for a disappointment second time round. To my suprise it was even better; better than Chamonix, Courchevel, Val d’Isere, St Anton and Whistler. If you are a beginner or even an intermediate then there are better. If you like racing down well prepared pistes then there are better. But if you love huge, unpisted bowls then this is your resort.

My favourite was the itinerary down the Val d’Arbis. It is long, staggeringly beautiful, completely empty and continuously challenging. What more could you want?
